I’ll start with an honest confession: my blog went quiet for most of the summer. I was buying and renovating a rental cabin, working with clients, and building out a few agent websites, and the blog was the first thing to slide. Not because I didn’t value it. Because every post started from a blank page, and a blank page is a decision I kept putting off.

So I built a system. Starting this week, every weekday morning there’s a blog draft waiting for me in WordPress. This is what AI marketing for realtors actually looks like in my business, including the parts I still do myself.

The problem wasn’t ideas. It was decisions.

Most agents I talk to don’t need more content ideas. They need fewer decisions. What should I write about? Which keyword? How long? Where should it link? Each of those questions is small, but together they’re why good intentions turn into a blog that hasn’t been touched since June.

The system answers those questions ahead of time, so my morning job is reviewing, not starting.

What the system does

I use Claude, connected to my WordPress site (and I installed the Jetpack plugin). Each weekday before 6 a.m., Claude writes a post and saves it as a draft. It never publishes anything. Over a week, that’s two real estate posts, two short-term rental posts, and one post for agents like this one.

The real work wasn’t connecting the tools. It was writing down how I think, how I feel, what makes my business unique and more. Before any of this could work, I created a handful of documents the AI reads every time:

  • A voice profile, so drafts sound calm and practical instead of like a sales brochure.
  • A brand bio that explains who I serve and what I won’t do, like hype and fake urgency.
  • An operating manual with my beliefs, how I make decisions, and a bank of real stories from my business.
  • A keyword map with one keyword per page, so my blog posts don’t compete with my own website.

Those documents are the system. The AI is just the part that reads them at 5 a.m. so I don’t have to.

What I still do myself

I have one firm rule: never publish AI’s first draft. Every morning I read the post, fix anything that doesn’t sound like me, and add what only I know. Then I make an image in Canva, confirm the SEO settings, choose the category, and hit publish.

AI is good at organizing ideas. People are good at creating connection. Readers can feel the difference when the human part is missing, and so can your clients. The review step isn’t a formality. It’s the point.

Why this is worth it for agents

Your marketing is part of your product. When a buyer or seller looks you up, a blog full of useful, local, specific posts tells them you know this market, and you show up consistently. That credibility builds quietly, long before anyone fills out a contact form. And consistency compounds. One post doesn’t move much. A hundred posts over a year change how people, and search engines, find you.

If you want to build something similar

  • Start creating your foundational documents, starting with your voice profile. Download the Wispr Flow app to your phone and instead of writing, just dictate. This is better than writing because now you can train your AI on your real tone, vocabulary, and cadence. Just talk about your day, your clients, your business philosophy, your market.

I’m at the very beginning of this, and I’ll share how it goes, including what doesn’t work. That’s part of building in public.

If you’re an agent who doesn’t have a blog. We should connect. You can view my current offering to see how we can work together.

In March of 2025, my family purchased a cabin in McCall, Idaho, for $590,000. The goal was not to become millionaires. The goal was simpler and probably more relatable: my in-laws come to McCall every other month and needed a comfortable place to land while they visit their grandchildren (and us), and we needed a […]
